Ok, 2 weeks and counting until Day 1 of the 40 day Paleo Challenge!

Spend some time going through these and check out the grocery list at the good harvest website. The list goes on and on! Nobody else can say, “Well, if I take out dairy, wheat, legumes, and sugar…what else is there to eat?” I am pretty sure our God provided us with many other great sources of food.
I do not agree with evolution, but this video still has some great points. Yes, in biblical times people ate bread, milk, and honey. I believe the Bible is completely true. However, the type of bread, milk, and honey that people in scripture ate was much different than the types we eat. Plus, these foods were probably a rare treat. It just makes sense that as they were traveling, they would kill their protein and pick their carbs/fat off of plants, trees, etc. They would not enter into a supermarket and pick the coolest looking box from the long aisle of shelves!
This challenge is not about getting rid of dairy, wheat, sugar, etc. forever. It is about finding out what works best for you. It is about listening to your body and learning what makes you feel your best. It is worth 40 days of your life to determine if maybe, just maybe your digestion works better without dairy, or your arthritis in your knees seems to diminish away when you take away bad fats, or maybe you take out high glycemic carbs like bread and you feel more energized by eating vegetables. This could happen and already has with many of my athletes, including myself! The question should be not “Are you going to do the challenge?”, but rather “Why wouldn’t you do the challenge?”
